 What information does Smidge of Squiggle collect? 

Please note that Smidge of Squiggle is hosted by GoDaddy who make use of features from Google. Both have their own Privacy Policies and terms and conditions. 

If you voluntarily sign up for more through Smidge of Squiggle or send an enquiry, this website will record your email address, and any other information you provide and it will be sent to Smidge of Squiggle. 

You are allowed to refuse to supply personal information, but it may result in you being unable to fully access the site, blogs, and other features as this website is built and hosted by GoDaddy.   If you click on a link in a email, or put information in a form, the site or it’s host may record this information (see below how this information will be used).  

Subscribers (in the event a newsletter is set up) may unsubscribe at any time, and you may request that all your data to be deleted by the owner of Smidge of Squiggle if you need.  

GoDaddy will have their own policies as host for www.smidgeofsquiggle.com, so it's a visitor's responsibility to read their privacy policy for further information on data being collected by them.   

Non-personal information.  Smidge of Squiggle or it’s host, GoDaddy, may collect non-personal information about visitors when they interact with the site. This information may include the browser name, means of connection to the site, and other non-identifying information.

Typically, cookies may be placed on visitors’ hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. How is the information used?  Any names, emails and details provided will only be used for correspondence and communication by Smidge of Squiggle.  

Information entered through the enquiry form will be used by Smidge of Squiggle to answer the query and engage with the person who sent it.  

The host of this website, GoDaddy, may collect other types of information and visitors are encouraged to see them for further information if concerned as Smidge of Squiggle does not control what information GoDaddy and Google may collect and how they use it. 

Data that they provide Smidge of Squiggle regarding which email links are clicked on the most might be used to help Smidge of Squiggle choose links that interest readers in future emails though at this stage this is not happening.  

Sharing of personal information. Personal information is not going to be shared with other third parties or sold for profit. Smidge of Squiggle in no way distributes the email addresses or signs others up to any other service without their consent.  The websites that help Smidge of Squiggle be available may have access to some information, so you should check their sites if concerned. Smidge of Squiggle uses a secure Proton email address for any correspondence to be sent via GoDaddy and Google.

Security of information.  A visitor's information as described above may be saved by only GoDaddy and Smidge of Squiggle to help this site run smoothly. Currently, no one else has admin access to www.smidgeofsquiggle.com.  In the event of a serious data breach that is known to Smidge of Squiggle, subscribers will be notified as soon as possible.

Use of the website by minors. All subscribers must be 18 or older or have the consent of a parent or guardian. Some of the portfolio of Smidge of Squiggle may contain or reference adult themes or things that may not be appropriate for minors, so visitors are to read at their own discretion.

Any significant changes will be updated promptly or if appropriate, emailed to you.   You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
